hiya, I’m Kaje and this is my photography. This was taken on 11 March 2012 at the Packard Plant, East Grand Boulevard and Concord, Detroit, MI.
As of late, Packard has become a hot spot for yuppies and artists, scavengers and wanna be hipsters, old couples who were somehow connected to the plant and children who are tagging along with snooty parents. Packard has been the heart of Detroit since being built in 1902 and continues to be the heart of Detroit in 2012. That is until they set a date for demolition. However, even then I believe and feel that Packard’s 40 acres will still be the heart of Detroit. This is just one of the numerous photos that capture Detroit’s beating heart.
